Exhibition: Sidney Reeve (1975-1943), artist, designer & silversmith
Sidney Reeve joined the Guild of Handicraft in 1902 to work as a silversmith. He left in 1904 to teach at Leicester School of Art, and worked there for the next thirty years. We hold a large collection of his drawings and will be putting many of them on display for the first time.

This exhibition celebrates nine contemporary designers who echo the rich heritage established by C.R. Ashbee and his Guild placing great value of work, the joy of craftsmanship and the natural beauty of materials.

Demonstration: Jeweller and silversmith, Vicki Ambery-Smith, will be demonstrating her approach to making her finely detailed architectural designs in silver and gold. With scored and folded silver and fine fretwork she obtains an interpretation of iconic architecture in miniature.

Demonstration: Tanya Gomez, a celebrated ceramicist renowned for her porcelain vessels in her signature lustrous colours, will be sharing her expertise.

Symposium: Arts and Crafts in the Cotswolds
Chipping Campden School
Supported by Chipping Campden Town Council
Ashbee claimed that the country was the best place for the crafts. This symposium will bring in nationally acclaimed speakers to explore the role of the Arts and Crafts movement in the Cotswolds, looking at some of the major figures and examining its impact on the wider arts and Crafts community. Bursary Award ‘pop up’ exhibition
The Court Barn Bursary is awarded to students from Chipping Campden School who wish to pursue a career in craft and design. 2017 winner, Lauren Davies, will be displaying some of her the work she produced during her foundation year at Oxford Brookes.
