Our Top 12 Moments of 2025

After another successful year at Court Barn, we have curated a list of our top moments, in no particular order. Read below to discover visitors, volunteers and exhibitions that made 2025 unforgettable

  1. ‘To Tea or not to Tea’: a Shakespeare Coffee Morning to gather and discuss the famous bard
  2. Folk musician and storyteller Jack Badcock performs live at Court Barn
  3. Exhibition of the Pearson Silver Collection, the largest privately owned collection dedicated to post-war British design
  4. Alan Banyard discusses Blockley’s fossils as part of the Constructions from Clay exhibit
  5. Court Barn is featured in Cotswold Life Magazine, celebrating the ‘Living Legacy of Craft’
  6. Thanks to the support of Art Fund and the V & A Museum Purchase Grant Fund, Court Barn acquisitioned two chairs made by C.R. Ashbee
  7. Sold out Ashbee lecture in collaboration with NorthCot Bricks
  8. We receive a visit by the great grandson of Charles Ashbee
  9. Court Barn welcomes its new Chair of the Board of Trustees – Christopher Rodrigues
  10. Our wonderful volunteers are mentioned frequently in our visitor book, with lots of compliments!
  11. We have some peculiar visitors – sheep, standing outside our front door! Perhaps they misunderstood the ‘barn’ in our name
  12. New makers join our museum, including Silver Nutshell, NCK Jewellery and Jo Bosley
